The Junction boosts the team with a Kickstart role

Tilly Hirst has joined The Junction as part of the Kickstart programme, a scheme designed by the government to help young people gain skills that will prepare them for longer term employment.
Tilly will manage the front desk and her duties will include greeting guests and visitors to the building as well as co-ordinating wellbeing activities and undertaking general administrative duties. She joins the team on an initial six month placement and will gain experience in a broad range of activities including event management, general administration and wellbeing initiatives.
“We are delighted to welcome Tilly to the team. Kickstart is an important programme supporting young people, helping them gain valuable skills for their future. Tilly has made a great start in her new role and is already gaining new skills which will improve her confidence and developer her CV” said Amanda Evans, General Manager.
The Kickstart scheme provides funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on universal credit. Further information about the Kickstart programme can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/kickstart-scheme
