Managing Director, Matthew Milsom, shares his thoughts on hot-desking at The Junction and tells us what he enjoys the most about the facilities on offer.
Can you tell us about your company and the work you do?
I am the Founder and Managing Director of a boutique Management Consultancy specialising in helping organisations execute their agile transformations.
Can you describe your workstyle?
I have been working in the communal hot desking space at The Junction for several months now. I spend a lot of time on calls with clients across the globe so the speed and stability of the internet is critical. The internet connection at the Junction is fantastic.
How have you found hot desking at The Junction?
My move to the Junction has been transformational, with the shift to remote working as a result of the pandemic, I had been working from home and prior to this in a Regus shared office space for the last 2 years. I have been completing client assignments without ever meeting them in person. I thought I was coping ok with the new ways of working until I moved into The Junction. When hot-desking you become part of a fantastic community and it has made me realise how much I had been suffering mentally with the lack of social interactions.
What facilities do you enjoy the most?
As a self-proclaimed coffee snob, the coffee shop serves fantastic coffee and cakes and once again provides that important a social space.
